It's Very Stable
Temperature and humidity have stabilized over the last couple of days. I'm liking this.

Dumping the Water
The dehumidifier captures a lot of water. The bucket fills up in about 5-6 hours. So rather than emptying it 3-4 times a day, I am using an adapter that came with it to attach a garden hose, and I'm draining it into the shower. That way I can run it continuously.

It's Yuuuuge
As our illustrious President would say, "it's yuuuuge". Humidity, however, is dropping like a rock...

Texas Sized
In Puerto Rico we used to say that if you liked big things, you must be Cuban. It was because many Cubans would say that theirs was bigger (whatever the topic). In the US, I think that honor is bestowed on Texans. In Texas, everything is bigger.
Well, I think I got a Texas sized dehumidifier...

Remote Troubleshooting
My Airstream internet connection stopped working Sunday night. I couldn't see the remote cameras or temperature sensor. I had to drive all the way out there today for a 2 minute troubleshoot. Reboot the router. Voila. Problem fixed.

Humidity
The humidity inside our trailer reaches 80% sometimes. The price we pay for living in Central Florida. Both ACs are dripping water constantly when we set them to 70 degrees despite having drilled holes in the water reservoirs to drain onto the roof. I am thinking the humidity inside the trailer is causing these drips.
So, we ordered a dehumidifier. Maybe I was a bit frustrated with all the dripping, but I bought the baddest dehumidifier I could find. The Frigidaire FFAD7033R1 70-Pint Dehumidifier. Yes, 70 pints. Complete overkill for the inside of an Airstream. (Cue the Tim Allen laugh) Arghhh arghh arghhh...

Rained Out
We got rained out today. So we locked ourselves in our Airstream, turned on the ACs, and watched DirectTV Now. Priceless.

Handy Man
I ocassionally do some work around the lot. In case of emergencies. Well, we bought a really expensive chain to replace the one at the entrance, and it was too heavy. So rather that chuck it I made a midway resting point. Yes, I made it. I screwed the post to the base and drilled the hole for the hook. I can do stuff...

The Great Houdini
Max escaped his crate three times. Each time he would push on the nylon net until the zippers gave way. Last time he ripped the netting off.

So off to Rural King I went to buy him a metal cage. Escape from THAT one...

Keeping Tabs on Max
We don't like leaving Max alone in the Airstream, but sometimes it can't be helped. We have a temperature monitoring system to alert us in case it gets hot, and now we have a webcam to monitor him while he is in his crate.
