Hakuna Matata

There is one thing I particularly like about Airstreamers - and that is what seems like an endless supply of positive attitude.  Reminds me of the Lion King, Timon and Pumba, and their motto "hakuna matata", which means "no worries".

There is a lot of parallels between Airstreaming and my previous hobby, boating.  While boating, there was no room for strict schedules.  No more "we will be there at 3:00pm".  My father, being former military (Korea), is a very strict man.  If I say 3:00pm, by golly I need to be there at 3:00pm.  Not 2:59 or 3:01.  And I learned that and became a Project Manager, for which adhering to strict schedules is a good thing.

Which is why I loved boating.  We get there when we get there.  It could be 3:00.  It could be 4:00.  It could be tomorrow (depending on weather).  And when we got there, we would be happy.  Because we got there.  I loved it.

I've been watching YouTube channels, like Long Long Honeymoon and The More We Explore, and it amazes me the endless enthusiasm and positive attitude displayed even when challenged with some pretty serious stuff.  And I like that.  A positive attitude.  If something breaks, it breaks, and we fix it.  Or not.  Or we get someone else to fix it if we can't.  And we move on.  Such is the life of an Airstreamer (or a camper in general I presume).

From time to time I forget this and I get somewhat frustrated by the smallest of things.  And then I remember, "relax".  "Breathe".  "Enjoy".  And it makes it so much better.  So I am looking forward to my new adventure, and I'll see you at 3:00.  Maybe.  Hakuna Matata!
