Orange Tree 2.0
Earlier this year we bought an orange tree to plant. It was six inches tall and it cost $5. Max (our Labradoodle) trampled it to death.
Now we are trying again, this time with a little more mature tree. I can almost taste the orange juice we’ll make. In a few years...

Airstream Logo
The outside Airstream logos are very poorly made. The front one didn’t last 2 years, and the rear didn’t last 3. Thankfully I had leftover letters from when I replaced the front logo. The A, the R and the S sure look shiny.

Grip Tape
The wooden steps we had made for our Airstream get a little slippery when wet. Some grip tape and voila.

We're Done
We got done with the shed yesterday. I was so exhausted and it was so dark that I didn't take any pictures. Next week.

Extra Lights
So apparently I was so bored waiting for my shed, I decided to install a 21" LED light bar on my golf cart. Got the parts, waiting for the right time to install.
Shed Delayed. Again.

We Bought Our Shed
We bought our first shed online at Home Depot. They offered free delivery. That’s a biggie for us. It’s a Lifetime 7x7 shed. Gets here in a couple of weeks. I’m certain assembling it is going to be fun (not)!

Post Thanksgiving Blues
Yes, I ate too much. But I had a blast. And now I'm headed to the Airstream. I'm glad I am not towing this weekend. I would definitely exceed payload...

Happy Thanksgiving!
I have a lot to be thankful for, so I wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you enjoy it with friends and family, like I plan to.

Stepped in it
We apparently suffered a little more hurricane damage than we thought. I think the water reached the edge of our deck and the wood rotted. Seven planks need replacing. Ughhh...

Thermostat Error
So my thermostat has been throwing an E4 error message for some time now. I looked it up in the manual, and it has to do with a remote sensor failure, only I think I don’t even have that sensor so I’m not sure how it can fail. Resetting the thermostat did not work. So the AC tech is coming out to see if he can help with some leaks the rear AC is having, so I’ll ask him to take a look at this as well.

Like New Awning
A couple hundred bucks later, the awning is as good as new. A great big thanks to Stewart’s Mobile Village for their reliable and quality service.

Extra Set of Keys
Having an extra set of keys hidden away saved my bacon today. I came to the Airstream and I forgot to bring my keys. Thankfully, I was still able to get in. Lesson learned.

Broke Again
My Zip Dee awning broke again. I left it up during a light rain and I forgot to drop one end so it would drain.

Sigh.
Time to call Stewart’s Mobile RV service. Again.

Permanent Installation
I ran the cable out the front window and placed the charger on the table between the recliners. Looks pretty clean.

Old Charger
My “old” charger, the Noco G3500, should have been returned. But I threw away the box, plus I love gadgets anyway. So I found a use for it. To keep my tow vehicle battery charged.

New Charger
I connected the Noco G7200 to my Airstream. It came with bigger eyelet connectors which fit like a charm. Even in store mode, my batteries seemed to have discharged 25-50% in one week. I have some serious draws on my batteries even when disconnected. I’m going to have to look into that. For now, the Noco has me covered.

Charger Too Small
It seems I may have purchased too small of a charger. My first clue was when the eyelet connectors were too small for the batteries. It then took FOREVER to charge. Well, it seems the G3500 is designed for up to 120ah. Well, two Group 27 batteries total are 210ah. So I got a G7200. It comes with the bigger eyelet connectors. That's a good sign.

Generator Inaugurated
Ran my brand spanking new generator for 11 hours straight (after the 5 hour break in period) on a single 20# propane tank while running my 15K BTU AC. Yes!

New Batteries Installed
I installed two new group 27 Exide deep cycle batteries and am charging them with my Noco G3500 smart charger.

Big Cleanup
Hurricane Irma did not score a direct hit on our RV park, but there was some impact. Lots of downed trees, a very high water level, and lots of debris. This is going to be a big cleanup.
New Batteries
I had every intention of purchasing the $70 batteries from Rural King. But they don't have any. And since we are recovering from Hurricane Irma, I thought it best to grab the first ones I could find and not be too picky. So I paid $99 each for Exide batteries from Tractor Supply. I spent my money on a good generator so no need to go all AGM right now.
I did get Group 27 size batteries instead of the Group 24 sized that originally came with my trailer. I measured and they should fit. I ordered a new tray from Amazon as well. We'll see how this all works out.
